Your tasks:

• operation and programming of CNC machining centres with 3, 4 or 5 axes with Heidenhain control system
• setting up, optimising and monitoring the systems in compliance with quality and time specifications
• creating programmes on the basis of technical documents
• independent and responsible work
• maintenance work on the machine

Job description:

If you like to work carefully and precisely, are familiar with computers and have a knack for high-tech, then machining mechanic is an interesting profession for you. A versatile job awaits you, and in addition to all the technology, the human factor is not neglected. In your team, you coordinate with colleagues to improve the flow of materials and to take customer wishes into account. As a cutting machine operator, you are a specialist for high-precision work. When holes, recesses or indentations have to be in exactly one place, when parts weighing tonnes have to be dimensioned to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimetre, then your skills are in demand. In order to be able to fulfil this, you evaluate technical documents and determine the important data for production. Then you select the appropriate tools and testing equipment. You often work with computer-controlled machine tools, which you also program yourself and adjust exactly to the customer’s wishes.
